Sara graduated from the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia with a degree in creative writing before packing up her station wagon and moving out West. She worked in San Diego for nearly ten years — not only in search of the perfect fish taco — but as a writer in a variety of different industries, from luxury travel and marketing to print editorial (where she did, in fact, edit with a red pen) and eLearning.

Now, when she’s not freelancing as a tech and marketing writer, she illustrates children’s books and writes short stories. Sara currently lives in Reno, Nevada where she can be found rock climbing, lake swimming, and hanging with her husband and their two cats — one Garfield-esque ginger and a tiny, terroristic tortie.
